I've upgraded from my selfie stick, to a selfie tripod, and I am SO excited to have found the RIF6 Mini Tripod! I was on the hunt for something lightweight (for backpacking & day hiking), something rugged, and that would actually fit my iPhone 6s. 

Many of the selfie stick and selfie tripods only fit the older versions of smartphones - for example the iPhone 5c is 2.33 inches wide, whereas the iPhone 6s is 2.64 inches wide, and the iPhone 6s Plus is 3.07 inches wide. The weight of my iPhone 6 was too heavy for my selfie stick (it fell in the river twice while trying to take a selfie) and I needed something that was easier to take group photos, while fitting everyone in the photo without it looking like a bunch of bobbing heads. 

The RIF6 Mini Tripod holds weight much easier, and fits the size of my phone. The flexible, rugged legs allow you to place the tripod anywhere so even if you are alone, you can capture that perfect selfie and a regular height - not ground level or with a view of your arms extended in the photo.
